On today’s show please make welcome Marg Jolly, a great friend of mine who sells on Amazon and lives in Geelong!
Today’s Marg shares her story about how she got started through Adam Hudson’s Reliable Education course. Sadly, her first product she sourced from China didn’t work out so great – and she quickly realised that in order to go to the next level needed to seriously immerse herself in Facebook Groups, Masterminds, and meeting other local Amazon sellers.
Courses are a great way to start, but often masterminding, networking and 1-1 coaching can be super effective to help you reach your goals.
Marg now sources from India, via a supplier she met in Hong Kong on her way to the Canton fair!
Since that serendipitous crossing of paths to find her new Indian supplier, she and her partner Kevin are getting very close to their goal of making $100,000 in profit (not revenue) per year.
We also touch on Amazon’s Transparency program, part of Project Zero – Amazon’s program to stamp out counterfeiting on their platform.
I love Marg’s story because it’s real. Selling products on Amazon is often a grind, requiring persistence and tenacity and isn’t an ‘easy path to riches’ as some might have you believe!
