TAS 027 : Will Amazon be redirecting traffic back to Amazon.com.au? – Scott Kilmartin comes back to discuss the implications!

By Chris on June 1, 2018

Short sharp episode today with Scott Kilmartin who comes on to discuss the Amazon vs. Treasurer Scott Morrison situation!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d know already that Amazon will be redirecting Australian users away from the likes of Amazon.com, amazon.co.uk et al. and back to amazon.com.au.

This is all in response to the Government requiring Amazon to collect GST for it, on any sale that any Australian makes on any of its global platforms.

Amazon’s response caught everyone off guard so I’ve got Scott on the show to try and work through what it means for Australian consumers and Australian Amazon sellers!

Enjoy.

TAS 025 : Sophie Howard from Aspiring Entrepreneurs talks about global product sourcing to a 7 figure exit from her Amazon business in 18 months

By Chris on May 10, 2018

Today’s guest is Sophie Howard, a mum of 2 young kids, who’s built and sold her Amazon businesses from the South Island of New Zealand.

She’s a lifestyle business advocate who balances entrepreneurial and family life to create 6 and 7 figure businesses.

She takes us on her journey from how she chose her first product from Nepal all the way through to the coaching work she does now to help you start your journey selling on Amazon!

Along the way, she’s travelled and sourced products to sell on Amazon from India, Morocco, Budapest, China, India, Sri Lanka, the USA, New Zealand and more.

She truly has created incredible Amazon businesses by going completely against the mainstream ‘tactical’ approach most Amazon courses and gurus espouse. Her approach to product selection and sourcing is fascinating and fun.

Sophie is coming to Australia this week to do a live and free speaking tour around the country about how to make a healthy income selling products on Amazon.

TAS 024 : Aaron O’Sullivan from Systems, Culture, Impact discusses how you can hire VA’s to outsource your Amazon operations!

By Chris on May 3, 2018

Aaron O’Sullivan from SystemsCultureImpact.com comes on the show today with a presentation! If you’d like to see the actual presentation, you can watch the replay on Youtube.

Without systems in place, there’s always a ceiling that you will hit in terms of being able to continue to launch successfully and delight your customers. So Systems, Culture, Impact helps Amazon businesses to scale up and helps them fully install systems into their businesses and create a great virtual team with a great team culture.

Aaron’s Background

Aaron started on Amazon in 2013. At first, it was a side gig while he was working in the mining industry in the far north of Australia. He dabbled in affiliate marketing before finding ASM1 and getting into the Amazon world. After attending the ASM event, Aaron went all in on Amazon. After 5 months he was able to quit his job and focus on his business full time. Meanwhile, his business partner was building a team of staff in the Philippines and asked Aaron to join. They ended up having a team of 45 staff running multiple different brands across all different types of industries and niches on Amazon.

It was a challenge to come up with the systems to be able to scale those different brands. That’s how Aaron learn what worked and what didn’t work and how to start a business online. He learned it pretty quickly, created a process and system for how to remove yourself as much out of business as possible and attracting great virtual assistants in the Philippines.

Aaron has been on numerous Podcasts and presented live at the SellerCon Conference as part of the Amazing Selling Machine (ASM) event!

TAS 023 : How to Get Brand Registry on any Amazon Marketplace from Australia

By Chris on April 27, 2018

Today I’m going to discuss why it’s important to become Brand Registered on Amazon and how you can become brand registered on Amazon as a 3rd Party Marketplace seller!

In my opinion getting brand registered on Amazon is crucial to compete as Amazon tightens up its marketplace.

With Brand Registry, you can easily compete with some of the biggest Brands in the world as Amazon has levelled the playing field, providing all sorts of seller tools and protections to Registered Brands.

TAS 022 : Giani from Geelong tells his Amazon story. How he bled over $300 a day over 3 weeks to launch his products and came out the other side a winner.

By Chris on April 19, 2018

Giani hails from Geelong, Victoria and went in hard on an Amazon course; took a trip to Yiwu with some classmates to get ideas and source products, before deciding the hard-selling, “upselling” course wasn’t for him and he’d go it alone.

Along the way, there were some heart-stopping decisions as he sunk $20K of his kids’ education fund on launching 15 SKU’s to figure out which ones would work. He’s now all-in on 2 remaining products and after 6 months of darkness and grind, he’s seeing bright lights at the end of the tunnel.

I hope you enjoy this great story from Giani where shares his experiences getting going selling on Amazon.

TAS 021 : Trushar from VACentral.co shows you how to make big money on Amazon selling seasonal, calendar events products

By Chris on April 4, 2018

This is a fascinating chat today!

Trushar from VACentral.co discusses how he makes a lot of money selling seasonal products on Amazon.com.

Trushar and his team spend months planning, researching and ultimately listing products around seasonal calendar events such as 4th of July, St Patrick’s day, Halloween etc.

They do all this without any reviews and no product launches!

He explains his processes and how, over the last few years, he and the team have been able to work out exactly what will sell well for each event during the year by paying attention and collecting data during these sales spikes.

We discuss whether returns are an issue after these events and what he does when he has ‘leftover’ inventory.

To get in touch with Trushar head over to VACentral.co
