TAS 007 : My 3 Epic Amazon Product Fails – Find out what they were and why they failed!

By Chris on November 14, 2017

In this episode I share 3 Private Label product ‘fails’ with you; you’ll learn exactly what they were and what went wrong. Not everything is ‘sunshine, puppy dogs and rainbows’ when selling on Amazon!

I hope this episode might help you so that you don’t make the same mistakes I did!

So the first 2 are dead-ducks at this stage. The last one is still in play, but now we’re going on a wholesale model, fighting for the buy box against a few other sellers, including Amazon! (I’m ignoring my usual advice: “Do not compete with Amazon for the buy box!” – but, as they say, desperate times call for desperate measures…)

Product Number 1: The crazy oversized A-Frame Chalkboard

Product Number 2: The wacky dog fetching machine

Product Number 3: The Cat Laser toy part one and how we’re listing with Amazon, part 2… to try and sell through the inventory.

Don’t forget to check out our new service www.Amaznsales.com if you need help getting your company set up on Amazon.com or in Europe.

If you’re an existing or curious Amazon seller (in Melbourne), be sure to join the Melbourne Amazon FBA Meetup group next Thursday evening to the Flippa offices in Collingwood and say hi.

Breaking: Amazon announce launch in Australia is Imminent.

By Chris on November 13, 2017

This morning in Sydney, Amazon’s country head Rocco Braeuniger announced it will launch its retail offering as well as its marketplace for third party sellers in Australia “really really soon”.

He was speaking at the Amazon Australia Marketplace Summit in Sydney and it appears that fashion is a top priority.

He said that initially, 3rd Party sellers will need to ship items sold on the platform themselves (FBM – Fulfillment By Merchant) as they progress towards a full FBA model.

Looks like they’ll be ready to open the doors before Christmas.

If you need help setting up on Amazon, be sure to visit my new venture www.amaznsales.com .

Amazon gearing up for Black Friday Australia Launch

By Chris on November 6, 2017

Well, it’s sort of ‘official’ but not really.

Press reports over the last day or 2 are indicating that Amazon will be opening its doors to the public around the 24th of November 2017 to capture the Black Friday sales event. Black Friday is huge in the United States, as is the Monday that follows, ‘Cyber Monday’.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday tend to really kick things into gear for Christmas.

Anyone who’s been selling on Amazon for a year or 2, knows that when Black Friday starts, it’s on for young and old all the way up until Amazon FBA’s delivery cut-off around the 22nd of December when they’re no longer able to guarantee 2 day Prime delivery.
