This week I’m joined by Steven Selikoff from www.ProductDevelopmentAcademy.com where he helps aspiring and existing entrepreneurs develop new products! Today, we DEEP DIVE into this massive topic and Steven shares his many years of experience as an Amazon seller (he joined way back in 2006) both as a 3rd Party but also a Vendor.
As you’re probably realising now, product differentiation is super important when it comes to selling on Amazon and Steven teaches us how to create their own proprietary products and brands, something that’s dear to my heart.
Now there is also still a lot of uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus outbreak in China – our thoughts are with all those affected there. Unfortunately for us Amazon sellers who source out of China the Government is continuing to impose travel restrictions in China both internally and externally. Yiwu market has been closed and there are very strong indications that the Canton Fair in April may be cancelled. Certainly, many attendees are strongly reconsidering their attendance.
Now more than ever, it’s increasingly urgent to diversify your sourcing which is why I strongly recommend heading to India for the Delhi Fair in April. As you know Meghla runs the India Sourcing Trip tour www.indiasourcingtrip.com. Tim Jordan (currently running the Helium 10 Project X case study with Bradley Sutton) will be there as a coach, as will Gary Huang, myself, Marg Jolly and many others.
