This episode we welcome an Australian Amazon Seller, Jason Hetherington who in 2 short years has built a Million dollar brand selling on Amazon and his own website.
Like so many successful sellers, he’s built a raving community fanbase of over 20,000 peeps which has helped with everything from product development, launching new products on Amazon and most importantly the value of his business when it comes to exit.
Like most fast growing sellers, Jason’s run into various issues around Hijackers, Copycats, logistical nightmares and cashflow!
It’s a great story and well worth tuning in until the end…
I also forgot to ask him what was the best way to make contact, but he’s a wonderful member of the Australian Seller Facebook Community, so if you would like to connect with Jason, just head over to www.theaustralianseller.com/facebook.
Regina Peterburgsky and I are holding on weekend of the 6th, 7th and 8th of August this year called the Amazon Collective. The conference will be held of-site in the beautiful Yarra Valley just outside of Melbourne. It’s strictly for 6, 7 and even 8 figure Amazon business owners based here in Australia and New Zealand – it’s not for newbies of beginners.
For more info head over to the www.theaustralianseller.com/collective
Don’t forget I am offering private coaching again this year so please head over to www.theaustralianseller.com/chris to book an hour session with me to make sure you’re heading in the right direction!

Hi Guys, really enjoyed the Podcast and well done to Jason. But I had a few questions. A buy price of US$4-5.00 and a sell price of US$35-40 gives you a gross profit of 85%.
Or you may show your cost of sales including shipping, tariffs etc. and therefore that would add 35-40% to the cost of sales (based on US increasedtarrifs of 25% and freight of 10%). US$5.00 FOB buy price plus 40% shipping and tariffs is $7.00. If our sell price is US$35, then our gross profit is still US$28 and gross margin is still 80%.
How did Jason get down to 43%? Is he showing revenue as Sales less All Amazon fees = net sales or revenue?
And he didn’t mentioned tooling costs for the products he designed although we don’t know what kitchen products he designed.
