Wholesaling or Amazon Wholesale is big big big business in the US and elsewhere.
A lot of people make a lot of money buying products directly from manufacturers and selling them on Amazon.
The only issue is that 99% of the time, you’ll be competing with other wholesalers for the “add to cart” button, also known as the “buy box”.
To try and increase your chances of winning the Buy Box and getting sales you need to understand how the buy box works.
- Use Amazon’s Fulfilment system, so ship your products directly to FBA. This will increase your chances over other sellers who might be fulfilling orders themselves from their own warehouses (FBM – Fulfillment By Merchant).
- Be competitive on Price. You need to ensure your offer is within approx 2% of the next lowest priced offer. You will win the Buy Box approx 50% of the time.
- Save excellent seller metrics. Be a good seller and focus customer feedback on gaining seller performance reviews.
